Our 2020 paddle technology are made from only the highest quality materials, combining carbon layers, UD carbon filaments as well as PMI Foam. This technology provides powerful strokes, speed, precision and more recovery while paddling.
Each of our blade shapes feature the perfect amount of spoon and curve for a balanced, forgiving performance across all conditions and stroke types. Our manufacturing process and combination of high quality material results in designing the right amount of flexibility and weight to each one of our paddles.
We use PMI foam material in our technology and construction to keep the weight of our paddles as light as possible. The PMI foam is used in the center of the board as a base and reinforcement. Thanks to its fined cell size, the PMI foam ensures the minimum possible uptake resin, which allows the end weight of the component to remain extremely low. The PMI foam provides as well an outstanding mechanical strength.
6 OZ CARBON LAYERS
We use a total of six full wraps 6 OZ carbon fibre within the laminate in our paddles construction. More precisely, we add on each side of the PMI FOAM, a first 200g carbon layer on the board, followed by a second 150g carbon layer, and reinforced by a third 200g carbon layer on the whole paddle. All these carbon layers add more strength to our paddles, while keeping their weight as low as possible.
UD CARBON FILAMENTS
We use a total of 13 UD carbon filaments in our paddle construction. We decided to use UD (uni-direction) carbon fibre for its specific characteristic, being a type of carbon reinforcement that is non-woven and features all fibres running in a single, parallel direction. With this style of fabric, there are no gaps between fibres, and those fibres lay flat. We use 5 UD Carbon fibre in the center of the paddle, and 4 on each side of the paddle width.
LOGOS & HIGH PERFORMANCE MATT FINISH PAINT
We add our In Lams water transfert logo onto our paddles, and we cover the entire blades, shafts and handles with a high performance matt finish paint, which result into a in more stealthy look and gives a better penetration in the water.
